Behaviors are simple and not easy.
Behaviors follow patterns and those patterns are not always easy to uncover.
Behaviors have 3 parts: an antecedent, the behavior itself and a consequence.
Behaviors have 4 functions: to gain attention/items, to escape, because it feels good or to address a biological need/discomfort.
Behaviors are universal, all beings behave.
Want to learn how to change behavior? Join me for my free teleconference on July 9th at 9:30 am EST. To register email Admin@BehaviorAndBeyond.net. This call will be recorded for those of you who register but can't make the call live.
PS-This week, I wrote an article: Classroom Etiquette and Behavior Management Strategies. It was for Dance Exec, a wonderful organization for dance teachers and dance studio owners. Hop over to that article by clicking here. While the tone and examples are designed for dance professionals, the messages are universal. Enjoy!
