It’s heartbreaking to learn that a child you know is being bullied or that the sweet child in your home is doing horrible things to people at school.

It’s for this reason that bullying is a complicated and emotionally-loaded subject. Couple this with memories that many of us have about being bullied ourselves and reactions border on explosive.

October is National Bullying Prevention Month and there’s a lot of incredible activities going on in schools around the country. They are doing great work but I’d like to put a different spin on the bullying conversation.

As many of you might know, I have some unconventional views on bullying.

So when CBS New York called to ask me to speak on the subject I was psyched.
