HOW TO TELL YOUR CHILD “NO!”

No one likes to hear or say “no.”

When you say it you feel like you might have disappointed or upset someone.

This week I had to tell a lot of people “no” because I was preparing for an epic 48-hour session. I sometimes work with families in a weekend immersive experience that radically resets their dynamic.

This kind of intense focus requires a massive amount of energy on my part, so I had to say “no” to any extraneous activity for the past week. I disappointed many people. This was not easy but it was necessary.

Being able to say and stick to “no” is one of the most common lessons I teach to parents. Small beings are persistent and so darned cute! It makes saying “no” extremely difficult.

In this week’s blog I talk about how the quality of your “no” makes all the difference. (Click to Tweet) Learn how to make your “no” stick every time!
